Graphics Project


The Computer Graphic project is the Walvis Bay Multi-Purpose centre Trust’s latest incoming-generating initiative. Run by the youth, for the youth, it is a classic example of helping others to help themselves.

Within the Kuisemond suburb, an estimated 80% of youth are unemployed. with this in mind, a couple of enterprising youth with graphic talent decided to embark on a project based at the WB MPC Trust to assist the Centre with the development of Promotional Materials, as well as promoting this service to local businesses and the community at large. This project was so successful that it has grown to the point where these services can now be provided to the community.

This project has been originally initiated to allow WB MPC Trust to independently design and produce its promotional and educational materials, including brochures, posters, business cards and calendars. The Graphic design of business cards for WB MPC Trust staff, youth forum newspaper, and 2005 calendar, Support Group for PLWA has already been completed. Thanks to The British High Commission for the Grant Fund, through VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas), the WB MPC Trust Graphics group is currently extending its capacity to train graphic artists, and to offer its graphic art services to local companies and the community at large.
